The ETC has begun to explore the intersection of entertainment and social media. We are taking a carful look in to how emerging social media themes, trends and technology help consumers better discover and consume digital entertainment. The ETC is engaged with the entertainment industry to better understand the needs and desires of the content producers, in the hopes that we can help the industry work together to produce a high quality consumer experience. Additionally, as access to content from the cloud grows, users will increasingly have difficulty discovering entertainment. Social media is positioned to become intertwined with search of cloud based content to aid consumers in discovery. The ETC is positioned to learn and understand the ebbs and flows during this new age of social discovery.
