Mobile Broadband Users to Pass 1 Billion by 2012

Juniper Research projects that globally, almost one-third of subscribers will use a mobile broadband connection by 2012. Totaling over one billion users, driven by North America, Western Europe and to a smaller degree the Far East and China.

This numbers can only be reached if the technology exists to use the broadband. The availability of devices that work with the broadband technologies, such as laptops, mobile phones, media players or other portable devices will the decide the rate of growth.
