Dixons to launch cut-price Logik 3D TVs

[Display Spy]

Dixons Retail has confirmed plans to enter the 3D television market this Christmas with a new range of cut-price sets offered under theLogik brand.

From next week, Dixons will start offering Logik 3D sets starting at just £349 for a 32″ LCD 3DTV and rising to £799 for a top-of-the-range 47″ LED 3DTV (both only available online), making them the cheapest range on the market.

All the sets use ‘passive’ 3D technology, meaning the polarisation is done on screen and the viewer uses similar glasses to those in cinemas and pubs. Each Logik 3DTV will come with 10 pairs of 3D glasses.

Earlier in the year, a report claimed that the London 2012 Olympics will trigger a sales boom of 3D TV sets in the UK, as consumers get switched on to the new technology.
