AI Working Group
An industry-wide ETC group discussing AI implementation, AI ethics and governance, metadata, and model evaluation, with sub-groups that explore shared solutions, guidelines, systems, and standards.
AI Working Group events
The ETC AI Working Group is an industry-wide group discussing joint areas of interest around AI, in four categories:
- AI implementation
- AI ethics and governance
- Metadata
- Model evaluation
Each of these categories is a sub-group which meets independently. Sub-group meetings are an opportunity for participants to discuss areas of concern or interest, and think about developing joint, industry-wide solutions, systems, guidelines, or standards, to avoid duplication of AI systems and processes for ETC members.
In addition to the sub-groups, the AI Working Group meets as a whole once every 6 weeks. The output of this work are white papers that lay out industry-wide issues around AI, as well as tentative solutions. Then these solutions are either prototyped within ETC or passed on to SMPTE to assess the opportunity to create technical standards.
Colleagues who are interested in any of these areas are welcome to join.
