Brava 3DTV arts channel available in Europe

On November 22nd 2010, Brava3D started broadcasting through the ASTRA satellite system.

Brava3D is the first worldwide cultural channel broadcasting in 3D. The horizontal programming of Brava3D offers round the clock opera, ballet and concerts in Full 3D (1920 x 1080i) image quality and excellent Dolby (E) sound. Enjoy a 3D opera performance featuring Plácido Domingo, a sensational concert conducted by Sir Simon Rattle or an enchanting Swan Lake by the Paris Opera Ballet in Rudolf Nureyev’s famous choreography. Brava3D offers the viewer a luxury seat on the first row of renowned theatres around the globe. Brava3D is the ultimate experience of opera, ballet and concert – in 3D. The MUST HAVE channel for all classical music lovers!

Brava3D is the latest expansion of the Dutch cultural channel Brava, that focuses on opera, ballet and classical concerts. Brava3D is the first channel on the European mainland that broadcasts in 3D 24 hours a day. Brava now offers all broadcasting varieties. The SD-version BravaNL is distributed to more than three million households in The Netherlands. The High Definition version BravaHDTV has been broadcasting since June 2007 and can be received by more than 25 million households in nine European countries and parts of Africa.
