3D first for Motive Television

Motive Television has successfully enabled the broadcasting of 3D TV content to a set-top box using its Bestv software over a DTT transmission system.

In what is understood to be a world first, a service called 3VOD has been successfully deployed by the Italian broadcaster and Motive client Mediaset. 3D broadcasting has so far only been available in high bandwidth pay-TV on cable and satellite platforms.

Mediaset already employs Bestv software on its Premium On Demand service, launched nationally at the end of 2009.

Motive Television is a digital TV technology, software and services provider that operates through three subsidiaries – Adeq Digital S.L.(TV Anytime), NXV Limited (TV Anywhere) and Motive Television Ltd.
