Research conducted by TNS and commissioned by LG has shown that TVs with Smart/3D functions represented 7 percent of TV set sales in Brazil in 2010. In 2011, the market share should be 23 percent, with half of sales concentrated in the last quarter. For 2012, the estimate is that TVs with these technologies should represent 47 percent of sales. One of the findings of the survey is that approximately 90 percent of respondents would buy a 3D TV for BRL 3,999 or less. The research also indicated that 33 percent of those polled have cable TV and 30 percent a PC.
