The 28 October 2010 workshop is called “Stereoscopy in Film Production: Theory and Practice”. This workshop is held in Turin, Italy in the scope of the VIEW conference. It will cover a wide range of topics related to stereoscopy in films from both a theoretical and practical point of view.
The workshop will include a discussion of different kinds of 3D projections and have comparative discussion of the technology required for producing stereoscopic content.
Specific topics that will be covered are:
- the creation of stereoscopic content for full CG projects,
- generating the “other” eye for traditional one camera capture, and
- problems that arise from native stereoscopic content,
- limitations inherent in the current technology,
- how to create content exhibiting minimal eyestrain,
- issues that lead to creative explorations of stereoscopic content.
