JVC launched a consumer camcorder that records Full HD 3D.
The new GS-TD1 uses two camera lenses and two 3.32 megapixel CMOS sensors. JVC’s newly-developed high-speed imaging engine simultaneously processes the two Full HD images – left and right images at 1920 x 1080i – within that single chip. The camcorder offers side-by-side for AVCHD.
JVC also introduced the GZ-HM960, an HD Everio camcorder with 3D capabilities that includes a 2D-to-3D output function.
Both cameras offer networked capabilities that use Everio MediaBrowser software (Windows) to manage, editing and sharing of content.
The GS-TD1 will be available in March for $1,999.95, and the HD Everio GZ-HM960 ships in February for $949.95.
Additionally, at the JVC stand, prototypes of a 4K2K camcorder and a High-Speed Multi Purpose Camera are on display.
