UPC Romania currently has 23,000 HD subscribers – it was also the first operator to introduce HD services into the country – while 3DTV sets are still relatively rare, with 2,000 (1,400 in 2010) having so far been sold.
Although Panasonic Romania, cited in ZF, quotes higher figures – 4,000 in 2010 and 8,000 this year – only around 1% of TV set currently deployed in Romania are 3D.
