Volfoni, Recognized for Their Expertise in Active 3D, Launches Their First Full-Scale Passive 3D System: Smartcrystal Cinema

[Press Release]

Volfoni’s brand of active glasses, EDGE, was approved by Disney in June 2010. Volfoni’s newest product for passive 3D, SmartCrystal Cinema, underwent Disney’s rigorous testing process and was approved this past month.

“We are proud to have our products approved by Walt Disney Studios. As a company, they are known for their strict adherence to quality and professionalism,” says Thierry Henkinet, CEO of Volfoni.

Created using special “surface switching” technology by the R&D team of Volfoni, SmartCrystal Cinema was entirely designed and manufactured in Europe. The company continues their global business development and is very much positioned as a key player in 3D technology. By offering their customers the widest range of products for the cinema market, both active and passive, they can accommodate all kinds of 3D needs. Volfoni products also target professional markets, whose demand for quality 3D products is growing rapidly.
“We can now offer our customers the very best in terms of active and passive 3D. Each technology has specific advantages, and because of this, Volfoni will be one of the first companies to offer an active and passive bundle for cinemas. We will be showcasing this at the upcoming CinemaCon in Las Vegas,” indicates Jerome Testut, managing director of Volfoni’s U.S. operations.
The objective of Volfoni is, now more than ever, to accelerate and expand the adoption of 3D in all markets. To do that, Volfoni aims to make implementing 3D products and systems as simple as possible, at prices that are some of the most competitive in the industry.
