Etymotic Showcases Ear Protection Devices

Etymotic Research showed two models of its CEA Innovation Award-winning ear protection device.

Developed to actively pass normal sounds and instantly protect the user’s hearing from loud noises and explosive events, this technology was originally designed for war fighters and is now transitioned to hunters and those who use loud machinery and vehicles.

With the new Etymotic models, users can hear as if there were no device in their ears but are instantly protected and normal sounds are restored as soon as the threat ends.

Many production events might be safer with such a tool. Starting at $449, the EB1 is for hunters and the EB15 is for loud mechanical noise protection.
