In the Hewlett-Packard booth we were impressed by the sleek, downsized design of the new “Mi” Edition (Mobile Internet) Mini 1000 that sports an Intel Atom processor and runs on HP Mi software built on Linux, instead of Windows. You have the choice of an 8.9-inch widescreen or 10.1-inch display with flush glass. The Mini 1000 also features one of today’s better keyboards we’ve seen for Netbooks. Prices start around $330.
HP is also showing its recently announced iPrint Photo – a WiFi-based printing solution for the iPhone or iPod Touch that allows the devices to easily connect to any WiFi-based HP printer. This is ideal for those who want 4×6 prints of images shot from an iPhone. iPrint is a free app currently available from the iPhone App Store.
