IBM is discussing its cloud-based service delivery infrastructure in meeting room N210 of the North Hall. The company suggests that its scalable service could be used in media and entertainment to make digital distribution more efficient.
Pointing to the many available content distribution services, IBM’s Mark Burnett said: “Studios need an on ramp… They don’t want to do something unique for each service.”
He noted that the IBM cloud service infrastructure could offer a common approach, where content is published once to the cloud service for distribution to all devices including connected TVs and Blu-ray players.
