Kabel BW has announced plans to add 3D movies to its on demand programme library.Kabel BW Videothek is available across the network that is concentrated on the German state of Baden-Wurttemberg.
“With the launch of 3D content in the interactive video library, we’re launching a further stage of development and demonstrate how innovative and powerful our platform is,” said Stefan Beberweil, head of product management at Kabel BW. No titles were named by the operator.
The company statement highlights the fact that Kabel BW runs a separate channel for each user and avoids the long download times and buffering associated with internet-based services. The line is becoming a familiar one for the cable sector as it looks to highlight its perceived advantages against over-the-top delivery.
Kabel BW customers can already enjoy a number of movies in the HD format.
