By launching the Sky 3D channel, KabelBW has become the first German cable operator to get involved with a regular 3D TV channel. With the addition of Sky Sport HD2, the cabler now has a line-up of 21 HD channels.
“With even more Sky HD channels and the launch of the first 3D channel in Germany spread we show the potential of what a cable network can be. And in the next few weeks will offer our customer even more new HD channels on KabelBW, “said Stefan Beberweil, head of product management at KabelBW. All current HD receivers and HD recorders are already “3D-ready”.
The new Sky 3D Event Channel launched with live coverage of the Ryder Cup with more events in 3D to follow. Programming on Sky SportHD2 will include the Ryder Cup, Bundesliga football matches and the UEFA Champions League.
