Kinetic Power On a Personal Level from nPower

At CES Unveiled, nPower showed its backup battery charger for hand-held electronics that uses energy produced by walking or running to harvest those small amounts of power and save them for essential devices for on-the-go circumstances.

The nPower PEG (Personal Energy Generator) can be attached during athletic activities and stores power in a built-in battery. While a considerable amount of activity is necessary to fully charge any device it is capable of a boost to current electronics. As devices become more efficient strategies such as this will make practical sense.

According to nPower, the $160 PEG personal power generator is compatible with a wide range of handheld devices such as cell phones, MP3 players, PMPs and digital cameras.
