Shares in 2D to 3D image conversion specialist DDD jumped after it announced an agreement to supply its technology for PCs made by the Korean electronics group LG.
The two year license agreement allows LG to use DDD’s TriDef 3D software in its 3D PC products. DDD’s technology enables computer users to play games in 3D even though they have not been specifically designed for that purpose.
“The selection by LG as its content solution provider for their range of 3D notebook PCs and desktop monitors is another important milestone for us,” DDD chief executive Chris Yewdall said.
