LG launching Optimus 3D app converter this month

LG will begin rolling out its 3D game and app converter software to Optimus 3D handsets in Europe from the beginning of this month, with a global rollout following shortly afterwards.

The converter uses some clever coding to display 2D apps and games in glasses-less 3D on the LG Optimus 3D, but only works in landscape mode and for Open GL based apps. This isn’t a problem though really as most apps do use Open GL and if you’re playing games many of them are better in landscape orientation anyway. …

LG will also soon be releasing another update for the Optimus 3D which will add a 3D video editor, 2D video stabilisation and a mode to view your recorded 3D videos in 2D. …
