Dane-Elec showed myDitto, a consumer aimed network server with zero configuration and some impressive protection for your data. Perhaps this is actually a solution for the small production unit that can’t yet afford professional IT support. It can share access to documents, music and video with up to thirty designated dongled users on a PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone or mobile device.
It uses 128-bit AES encrypted login, password protection, and automatic backup. Users can access their myDitto servers simply with a lightweight USB key.
This might be another example of consumer products rising up to fill professional needs on multiple levels.
