Sony has just announced the release details for its upcoming 3D monitor, designed to hook up to the PS3 and play 3D games, and the timing is a little odd. It’ll be released on December 31st, just in time for no one to get it for Christmas.
The 24-inch 3D monitor comes with one pair of active 3D glasses and a copy ofMotorstorm Apocalypse. It also supports Sony’s SimulView tech, allowing two people to see two different images on the screen at once rather than having to use splitscreen. Of course, that other person will need a second pair of the $70 glasses. The screen itself will sell for $500 when it’s released on New Year’s Eve.
