A Polish 3D television has proved a runaway hit in the UK, becoming the biggest selling model of its kind on the British version of popular retail web site Amazon.

The 42-inch screen model, made by Warsaw-based firm Manta Multimedia, has proved more popular than similar products from long-established companies such as Sony and Panasonic.

“I was counting on success in Poland, but not abroad,” said Bogdan Wicinski, chairman and owner of Manta Multimedia, in an interview with the Puls Biznesu daily.

“The exchange rate certainly favours us,” he added.

“In the UK, we have sold more than half of what we have done in Poland,” he revealed.
