Research Rpt: One fifth of US box office from 3D

Box office revenues from 3D in North America almost doubled to hit $2.17bn in 2010, equivalent to one fifth of the US box office, driven by a corresponding surge in 3D screens. On average, live-action titles released in 3D grossed a proportionately higher share of revenues from 3D screens compared with animated titles.
