“SlingPlayer for TV” Quietly Demonstrated

On one side of the Sling Media booth, Sling quietly demonstrated its “SlingPlayer for TV” app for Google TV.  Other implements will follow, but work is slow because each implementation must be quality-controlled and prepared for support before it is announced after the deals are done.

SlingPlayer for TV is accessed through the Google Chrome browser or an app on the Google TV home page. The remote control options include the Sony unit with a small keyboard pictured here, and a Logitec unit that was described as ‘almost a full size keyboard.’

The price is to be determined, and they have not yet completed the FAQ to support the service.
