While perusing the South Hall, we came across what may be a viable power alternative for production crews when they are on location.

PowerFilm’s PowerShade Solar Field Shelters were originally produced for the US Army Natick Soldier Center. The thin flexible nature of the solar panels allows integration with fabric structures of various designs and produces what the company describes as a “lightweight, flexible and durable solution for remote power.”
Solar Field Shelters are available in 1 kilowatt and 2 kilowatt sizes, reduce dependence on fuel-fired generators, and can have a range of uses, including lighting, ventilation, power for electronics, etc. The company claims the 2-kilowatt PowerShade can be deployed in five man hours.
