Sony have announced details of two new 3D enabled LED TVs, the NX713 and NX813, due for release late 2010.
The Full HD screens both require a 3D sync transmitter and glasses for the extra dimensional experience; for consumers who want to future proof their screens and maybe watch 3D at a later date.
Featuring Sony’s ‘Monolithic’ design philosophy both screens retain that understated elegance that Sony do so well. Elsewhere they get wireless connectivity along with access to Sony’s on line entertainment portal, ‘Bravia Internet Video’.
Both screens feature the more sophisticated ‘Edge’ based implementation of LED technology, while the NX813 gets 200Hz Motion Flow as opposed to the 100Hz implementation found on the NX713.
With a combination of classic style and top end features, Sony are hoping to claw back some of the 3D sales that have gone the way of Panasonic and Samsung.
Samsung have somewhat cornered the market with their ultra slim offerings while Panasonic have produced what id generally recognized as the best 3D TV currently available in the TX-P50VT20.
The new screens join Sony’s already extensive range of 3D TV which currently include the LX903, HX903 and HX803 series. For more information you might like to read our guide to the Sony Bravia TV 2010 Model Range.
