World’s largest 3D TFT-LCD screen

[Emirates]

The Chinese company CSOT launched its 110-inch 3D TFT-LCD screen in Beijing Friday, the world’s largest screen of its kind..

The 3.34 square meter screen is a display with a resolution of 4,000 x 2,000 pixels and 800 nits of brightness that allows consumers to better enjoy high definition videos.

The screen also integrates several new technologies developed by Shenzhen-based COST and other advanced technologies including active 3D, multi-touch functions and intelligent dynamic backlighting.

“The 110-inch screen is the world’s largest LCD screen, and the former record was held by a 108-inch screen produced by a Japanese company,” said Li Dongsheng, the chairman of CSOT.

Li said the development of large LCD panels requires high technology, thus the panel they produced indicates that CSOT is now at an advanced level in producing such panels.
