Brunei-made animation on screens in 2013

Bandar Seri Begawan (Brunei Times/ANN) — The first Made-in-Brunei 3D animation series will hit TV screens in 2013, a project stakeholders hope will spawn similar ventures in the Sultanate’s fledgling multimedia industry.

Ambuyart Animations Company will begin pre-production within the next few weeks after receiving a $180,000 grant from the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI), said founder, Mohd Denny Azriman Hj Madni.

The grant will finance the production of the animation series, “Squad Z”, which is set to become the Sultanate’s first 3D cartoon series. …
