Sharp was showing off its new quad pixel technology that adds a yellow subpixel to the standard RGB screen. This means that the screen can display over 1 trillion colors as opposed to the standard 4-5 billion colors of traditional LCDs. The difference was a noticeable improvement to color saturation, especially in the greens and yellow. Screens incorporating this technology will be available in the spring.

In addition to the new screen technology, Sharp also expanded its line of Internet-connected televisions and announced deals with Netflix and Twitter.
