The Kitchen is the Next Living Room

iRiver, a global leader in multimedia devices is showing the Wave Home multimedia device – photo frame, MP3, video player, video Internet phone, widgets, Internet radio, etc. Built on open source software, it’s shipping in Korea in the next two months. Price and availability in the U.S. TBD – hoping to keep it under $400.

iRiver’s also showing its 7-inch Framee-L digiframe featuring a 720 x 480 display, 1GB of memory, an SD/MMC card slot, USB port and an alarm. Additionally, it handles slideshows, audio files and even video formats (MPEG-4 AVC / H.264, AVI and Motion JPEG).

The SPINN touch screen media player covers the bases (music, video, even eText) and has a unique interface (the spin wheel). Just know that unique doesn’t necessarily mean good or intuitive… Great 3.3-inch AMOLED display… doesn’t deteriorate as you push on it.
